Authorities thwart an attempt to smuggle narcotics in Syria’s Badia

Competent authorities in Palmyra, in the eastern countryside of Homs, managed to thwart the smuggling of  a large quantity of hashish prepared by terrorist organizations to be smuggled through the Syrian Al-Badia area to outside  country.

A security source in Palmyra told SANA reporter: ”through the follow-up and close security monitoring of the movements of mercenary terrorists, we were able to thwart the smuggling of a large shipment of drugs and confiscate the narcotic hashish that was intended for a cross – border smuggling by the terrorists taking advantage of the nature of the geographical area in the desert and the weather conditions in which visibility is difficult at this time of the year.
