Gaza Media Office: We warn of escalating famine as a result of Israel’s ongoing war of extermination in Gaza Strip
Gaza Media Office warned of escalating famine due to the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing waged by the Israeli occupation for the 125th day at all levels against the defenseless Palestinian people.
“After running out of flour, rice, grain and animal feed in the Gaza Strip, we hold the Israeli occupation and its allies, in particular the United States, fully responsible for the martyrdom of tens of thousands as a result of the policy of starvation, thirst and pressure on civilians, children and women, as well as food, water and medicine insecurity,” the office said in a statement.
The office pointied out that the occupation forces prevented the delivery of aid, food and various supplies to them and fired missiles at trucks that tried to reach the Strip to deliver food to those affected.
The Office added: “Th occupation’s war is entering its fifth month, during which we lost 35 thousand martyrs and missing, of whom 27,840 martyrs have arrived at hospitals, including more than 12,150 children, 8,300 women, 340 medical staff, 46 from civil defense and 123 journalists. There are some 7 thousand missing people, 70 percent of whom are children and women, who are still under the rubble and who could not be recovered as a result of the occupation continued violent aircraft bombing, as well as more than 67.317 wounded. Nearly 17 thousand Palestinian children are now living without their families since the start of the ongoing genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
The Office pointed out that during its war of aggression, the occupation army also committed the crime of exhuming more than 2,000 graves by bulldozing 13 cemeteries in the cities of the Gaza Strip, where it stole more than 300 bodies of martyrs, destroyed dozens of bodies and stole vital organs from them.
“The occupation had completely burned 3 thousand housing units and destroyed more than 360 thousand others, 395 schools, universities, educational institutions, 447 mosques and 3 churches.
83 hospitals and health centers were completely decommissioned, 122 ambulances ,150 health institutions were targeted and disabled. Nearly 200 archaeological and heritage sites were also destroyed with the aim of obliterating Palestinian history and geography,” The Office added.
“We are tired of demanding the international community and the United States of America to stop the aggression, as it has been proven that they are partners in the genocidal war on Gaza Strip and are the parties that gave the occupation the green light to launch this war and they continue to refuse to stop it. Today we hold them fully responsible, along with Israel, the criminal, for the most terrible crimes, massacres and disasters against humanity and for the catastrophic humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of all international laws and treaties. We call on international organizations and the countries of the free world to put pressure on the occupation to stop this fierce war against the residents of Gaza Strip and hold it accountable and criminalize it before international courts and the whole world.” The office stated.
