Irvani: The American attacks on Syrian and Iraqi lands are a serious threat to international peace and security

Tehran-(ST)-    Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Irvani renewed his country’s condemnation of the recent American attacks on Syrian and Iraqi territories.

Irvani said in a letter to the interim president of the UN Security Council: “These illegal American operations deliberately targeted civilians and basic infrastructure, and resulted in many civilian casualties and injuries,” stressing that such illegal actions not only violate international laws and the United Nations Charter, but they also endanger peace and stability in the region and are considered a serious threat to international peace and security.

Irvani stressed his country’s categorical rejection of the baseless accusations contained in the American letter to the Council against the Iranian armed forces and the allegations about them carrying out attacks and military actions in the region.
