Three bronze medals for Syria in the Arab Women Sports Tourament

Abu Dhabi, (ST) – The Syrian Al-Shurta Fencing Club won three bronze medals in the Arab Women Sports Tournament currently being held in Sharjah.

The three medals in the individual competition were won by players Aphrodite Ahmed with the epee weapon, Mary Ali with the cyber weapon, and Haneen Al-Hamoud with the cyber weapon.

Al-Shurta Club will participate tomorrow in the team competitions, noting that the first day of the tournament witnessed the victory of the Al-Thawra Basketball Club over the Emirati Club of Sharjah.

Syria participates with six sports teams in basketball, volleyball, karate, table tennis, athletics and fencing.
