General Secretariat of Arab Parties Conference: US aggression on Syria and Iraq aims at diverting attention from the Israeli crimes in Gaza Strip

The General Secretariat of the General Conference of Arab Parties has strongly condemned the American aggression that targeted public and private facilities in Syrian and Iraqi territories, describing it as a new violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries and of the safety of the two peoples.

In a statement on Saturday, the General Secretariate said “the brutal aggression increases instability in the region, and it is an attempt to ease the pressure on the Zionist entity and divert attention from its crimes in Gaza Strip. In addition, it has become clear that the United States poses a direct threat to global peace and security, and its role in manufacturing and investing in terrorism has become exposed.”

The General Secretariat went on to say that the continued American occupation of parts of Syrian territory and its presence in Iraq despite the rejection of the Iraqi Parliament, is clear evidence about the American administration’s lack of respect for the sovereignty of peoples and is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and the principles of the international law, pointing out that its permanent goal is to provide support to the Zionist entity and terrorist organizations.
