Abdollahian: Stopping The Israeli Aggression on Gaza is The Only Way to Restore Stability to The Region

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that the only way to restore sustainable stability to the West Asian region is to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Gaza.

During a telephone call with EU Commissioner for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell, Abdollahian said: “The main step that should be taken to end the crisis in the entire region is to stop the war crimes committed by the Israeli entity to kill and exterminate the Palestinian people,” stressing that any coalition or provocative step similar to that of the United States and the United Kingdom in Yemen will further complicate the situation in the region.

Abdollahian welcomed the importance of continuing dialogue on the diplomatic track, resolving crises and strong and constructive dialogue channel between the European Union and Iran, particularly with regard to the nuclear agreement and the return of regional and international stability.

Borrell, for his part, expressed concern at the escalating tension in the region, emphasizing Iran’s role in helping restore stability.
