Al-Mikdad receives credentials of UAE Ambassador to Syria

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Tuesday received the credentials of Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Syrian Arab Republic Hasan Ahmad Al-Shahi.

During the meeting, the two sides described as “deep and strong” the relations between Syria and the UAE, calling for boosting them in a way that reflects the vision of Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Sheikh Mohammad bin Zaid Al Nahyan for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

Al-Mikdad said Syria thanks and appreciates the stances of the UAE whether at international forums through its membership in the Security Council, or through its support for its brothers in Syria during the earthquake that hit Syria last February, SANA reported.

The Emirati Ambassador, for his part, stressed his keenness, as an Ambassador of the UAE to Syria, on boosting bilateral ties to the level that meets the aspirations of both the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
