Euro-Mediterranean Monitor: The occupation forces execution of  three Palestinians in a hospital in Jenin, a double crime

Occupied  Al-Quds – (ST)- The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed that the execution by the Israeli occupation forces of 3 Palestinians, one of whom was wounded, inside a hospital in the city of Jenin in the West Bank is a double crime and a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law.

The  Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor explained in a statement today that the three Palestinians were liquidated by a special occupation force consisting of ten individuals disguised in civilian clothes, three of whom were wearing nurses’ and doctors’ clothes, in addition to others who were disguised in women’s clothes. One of them was carrying a baby’s bag in which he concealed the weapon, and another was pushing a person on a mobile chair to facilitate their arrival to the third floor of the hospital. There the  three young men were  killed by  pistols with a silencer.

It also stated that members of the occupation force suddenly drew their weapons when they approached the room of the wounded Basil al-Ghazawi, who had been suffering from a serious injury from occupation bullets since last October, and executed him from a zero distance along with his brother who was taking care of him, and their friend who was accompanying them in the hospital before they withdrew.

It stressed that what the occupation forces committed represented a complex crime in which there were multiple violations of the rules of international humanitarian law, whether by storming a protected civilian hospital, or by disguising themselves in the uniform of doctors, nurses, or civilian clothes, and assaulting and intimidating medical staff. The killing of 3 individuals, including a wounded man, in a critical condition constitutes A war crime, as the rules of law require the protection of the wounded.

In addition, it pointed out that this double crime is an extension of the occupation’s violation of hospitals and medical staff and another grave violation of the special international protection guaranteed to them.

It also indicated that more than 380 Palestinians have been martyred in the West Bank since the seventh of last October by bullets from the occupation forces and settlers, including a large number who were subjected to field executions.
