Syria and Iran affirm determination to confront conpiracies

Damascus (ST) – Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh met with Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister for Security and Police Affairs Majid Mirahmadi and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the Speaker affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Syria and Iran, which was baptized by the pure blood of the martyrs of the two countries in the face of the global terrorism during the war that Syria was subjected to, and in the face of the unilateral coercive measures that affected the necessities of life of the Syrian people.

For his part, Mirahmadi appreciated Syria’s historical support for Iran since the Islamic Revolution, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging experiences in various fields.

He stressed that Iran will firmly support Syria in the fight against terrorism, which is supported by the American administration and the Zionist entity, affirming that the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance and the axis of resistance will lead to the eventual defeat of the Israeli entity.

Both sides stressed that Iran and Syria are being exposed to a conspiracy led by the US and the Zionist entity, pointing to the support of both countries to the Palestinian cause.‏
