President Al-Assad meets with the committee for supervising the Baath Party elections  

President Bashar Al-Assad, Secretary General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, on Saturday held a meeting with the higher Committee for supervising the Baath Party elections.

President Al-Assad was briefed on the results of the meetings and dialogue sessions that were held by the higher committee with Baathists in the party branches in different governorates during the past days with the aim of guaranteeing honest and just electoral process.

The President stressed that the success of the experience of supervising the election process will be the base for future election experiences at various levels that will follow the party’s expanded conference, pointing out that this experience will be part of a democratic process that must be transparent and successful.
