PM: The Government Strives for National Reconciliation Success

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halaqi stressed that the government is striving for the success of national reconciliation which has made significant progress in Damascus and its countryside and is working to strengthen , upgrade and circulate this experience on various provinces .
During his meeting today with members of the National Reconciliation Commission at the People’s Assembly, al-Halaqi added that national dialogue is the only way to get out of the crisis experienced by the country and that the option of national reconciliation is a priority for the Syrian people,
He explained that the consultative meetings conducted by the ministerial committee in charge of implementing the political program to resolve the crisis with the various national parties and organizations , trade unions , civil societies and national figures, showed the extent of people ‘s consensus on the success of the next national dialogue conference in Damascus , stressing the need for coordination and cooperation between the Commission and the legislative, executive authorities and civil societies activists for better realization of set objectives.
The Prime Minister stressed that the economic situation is improving as the country is proceeding toward more reform and rehabilitation of the man , adding that living standards are at acceptable levels as a result of the measures taken to achieve food , energy and pharmaceuticals security .
The participants discussed the mechanisms of the reconciliation committee activities in the 14 branches distributed on the country ‘s provinces and the situations of the kidnapped and missing persons and the detainees , and means to facilitate procedures and contacts between parties concerned with national reconciliation .
In turn, chairman of the reconciliation committee Omar Osei emphasized that the National Reconciliation Commission is implementing national agendas to maintain the social contract among the Syrians .
