Iraqi government condemns the US aggression on Babylon and Anbar provinces, submits a complaint to the Security Council

The Iraqi government strongly condemned the American aggression against Babylon and Anbar governorates through  bombing safe Iraqi military places, which led to casualties among members of the security forces.

“In view of the devastation caused by the American bombing, the martyrdom of fighters, and the wounding of four others, the government of the Republic of Iraq considers this behavior an aggression against the sovereignty of Iraq and the security of the Iraqi people” the government said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement added this attack is against  the implementation of the security agreement signed between the United States and Iraq, and it reflects strongly on the security of the region.

The government confirmed that it will take all legal measures to file a complaint to the UN Security Council about this aggression, noting that a committee has been formed headed by the National Security Advisor to investigate the attack and collect information to support the government’s stand  internationally and provide accurate evidence and information.

The results of the investigation will be announced to inform Iraqi public opinion on the facts and to prove the falsity of the allegations of the parties behind these condemned acts.
