Sabbagh, Vershinin discuss coordination between Syria and Russia at international forums

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh and his Russian counterpart Sergey Vershinin held talks on Friday on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in the Ugandan capital, Kampala. The two officials discussed joint coordination between the two countries at international forums.

Sabbagh thanked Russia for then support it has been providing for Syria in the face of the campaigns launched by western countries to serve their anti-Syria goals.

Talks also dealt with developments in the Middle East in the light of the Israeli escalating aggression on the Palestinian people and the Israeli repeated attacks on Syrian territories.
