Syrian national football team loses to its Australian counterpart in the AFC Asian Cup

The Syrian national football team lost to its Australian counterpart 0-1 in their match today at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, in the second round of the group stage of the Asian Cup held in Qatar.

The Syrian team’s lineup in the match included Ahmed Madaniyah, Thaer Kroma, Ayham Owusu, Moayed Al-Ajan, Abdul Rahman Wais, Khalil Elias, Izakiel Al-Amm, Mahmoud Al-Aswad, Ammar Ramadan, Ibrahim Hisyar, and Pablo Sabbagh.

The team tied with its Uzbek counterpart in the first round of the tournament without goals, and will meet with India in the third and final round of the group stage on the twenty-third of this month.
