Pakistani bombing on an Iranian border village

Tehran (ST) – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires in Tehran, in protest against a missile bombardment carried out by Pakistani forces at dawn today on a border village inside Iranian territory, which resulted in the death of 9 people.

The Iranian News Agency quoted the security agent in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Ali Reza Marhamati, as saying: “9 non-Iranians were killed, two men, three women and four children, as a result of the missile attack this morning on one of the Saravan border villages.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry’ spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, condemned the attack, calling on the Pakistani government to explain it.

In turn, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “Pakistan carried out coordinated and precise military strikes against terrorist havens in Sistan-Baluchestan Province,” stressing that Pakistan fully respects Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Two days ago, Iranian forces targeted with missiles and drones the headquarters of the terrorist organization Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan, near the border with Iran.
