The ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza has caused unprecedented destruction to archaeological and historical sites, says Ma’ayah

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Palestinian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Rula Ma’ayah confirmed that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip for the 103rd day has caused unprecedented destruction to archaeological and historical sites there.

Maayah on Wednesday said in a statement, reported by Wafa News Agency that the Israeli occupation targets everything in Gaza Strip, and its destruction of dozens of historical buildings that bear witness to the Palestinian’s connection to their land comes within its plan to obliterate and destroy the Palestinian national heritage in a crime against human heritage and a violation of all international treaties and agreements, including international agreements Geneva and UNESCO on the protection of cultural property.

She called on the international community to put pressure on the occupation to stop its Nazi aggression against Gaza Strip. She stressed that the crimes and massacres of the occupation will not deter the Palestinian people from remaining steadfast in their land and adhering to their just and legitimate national rights, foremost of which is their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
