“Greetings to our people in Gaza” in painting  exhibition

A  collective  exhibition of small paintings is currently being held at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh in Damascus under the title” Greetings to our people in Gaza.”

The exhibition displays 59  small paintings for 39 Syrian and Palestinian artists reflecting different techniques, styles, and topics, such as Old Damascus, the old neighborhoods, the heritage of Palestine,  Al-Aqsa mosque ,and silent nature, where each artist embodied his ideas through his painting .

 Palestinian Fine art artist Muhammad Al-Rakoui , one of the organizers of the collective exhibition, told Syria times that the paintings in this annual exhibition  express the dreams of the Palestinian people. The exhibition is a reflection of the life of the Palestinian people

“I am displaying three paintings. The first depicts Palestinian heritage, Palestinian women.The second reflects old houses, and the third is a vase carrying roses which is a symbol of optimism.

Artist Samer Al-saidi participated with one small painting  depicting anemones , because they symbolize the blood of the martyrs.He used acrylic colors.

Participating artist Laila Al-osta participated in one painting entitled “We Will Not Leave” using acrylic colors, representing the Palestinian women who are  connected to their land  and homeland. They  represent originality despite all the difficulties.

For her part, artist Reem Qabtan displayed a painting that symbolizes love, and tenderness using watercolors and acrylic to express her inner idea.

Participating artist Hanan MuhammadHanan Muhammad participated with two paintings using oil colors.. The first symbolizes the Palestinian woman who is the mother of the heroes, and the second is the lily flowers, which symbolizes the coming of spring, which means the coming of victory beside the white dove which is a symbol of peace .
