Syrian Arab Army Mow Down Saudi and Tunisian Terrorists, Conduct Mopping-up Operations Across Country
PROVINCES,(ST)_Terrorists of Saudi and Tunisian nationalities have been mowed down in a clash between an army unit and al-Nusra-Front affiliates amid reports of eliminating a lot of terrorists in Thursday’s military operations nationwide, according to military sources.
The clash flared up in al-Erfi quarter in Der Ezzour province where a large number of terrorists, mostly of Saudi and Tunisian nationalities, was killed and injured.
Other terrorists died when the army units destroyed a 10-meter long tunnel in al-Bosraya Street and a hideout in al-Mre’eyeh town. The tunnel was used by terrorists to store weapons and to shuttle.
More hideout for terrorists from al-Nusra Front were pounded in Kafr Batna and Yabroud areas in Damascus countryside province which witnessed intense clashes between army units and armed terrorist groups in areas of Harasta, Jobar and Darayya.
In addition, the army units eliminated an armed terrorist group in Ma’aloula town and another armed terrorist group called “Shohada’a al-Houda” battalion in Alya farms in Duma area.
They continued targeting terrorist groups in al-Qadam area where ringleader of the so-called “al-Shoura and al-Mojaheren’ battalion perished.
In central Homs province, it was said that the army units mopped up the remainder of the terrorist groupings in hills of al-Abbodeyeh and Berglan in the southern countryside of al-Qusair.
Tens of explosive devices, which were planted by terrorists in the hills, were defused by the army units.
Elsewhere, the official news agency confirmed the death of many armed terrorist groups in operations in several areas in Aleppo, Daraa and Idleb provinces.
Shells hit Damascus, Homs, Aleppo, Daraa, Der Ezzour
It also reported that at least 14 citizens were wounded in terrorist attacks on residential areas in Damascus, Homs, Daraa, Der Ezzour and Aleppo provinces.
The terrorist attacks happened when shells- fired by terrorist groups- hit al-Ghawwas Street in al-Midan area in Damascus province, quarters of al-Midan and al-Hamra in Homs province, al-Khaledeyeh quarter in Aleppo province, al-Hwiqa quarter in Der Ezzour province, al-Harra city in Daraa province.
The attacks left material damages at the scene.
The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda affiliates, operating in Syria.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries, media reports say.
