The Israeli settlers escalate their terrorism in the West Bank

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Israeli settlers’ terrorism against the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank has escalated since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza Strip on the 7th of last October, as the occupation authorities increased their arming to commit the most heinous crimes with the aim of expanding settlement operations and displacing the Palestinians.

The national office of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) stated in its weekly report that since the beginning of the aggression against the Strip, the Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks on the West Bank, through seizing lands, demolishing lands and preventing the Palestinians from reaching their agricultural lands, in addition to displacing the people of 25 villages during the past year.

The report indicated that settlers intensified their attacks last week in the city of Al-Khalil and its towns and villages, where they destroyed crops in the villages of Al-Rakiz, Al-Tuwanah, Al-Mufaqara, and Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Al-Khalil, and demolished 20 homes, and bulldozed 20 dunums of land in the town of Tarqumiya, west of the city.

The report noted that the city of Bethlehem was subjected to several attacks, as heavily armed settlers stormed into an archaeological site in Janata town, east of the city, and changed its features in an attempt to seize hundreds of donums of land surrounding the site.

The report stated that the Jordan Valley area, along its entire length in the northern, central and southern West Bank, witnesses continuous attacks by settlers under the protection of the occupation forces with the aim of seizing more lands in the region.

The report stressed that the occupation authorities approved two settlements plans last week occupied Al-Quds. The first plan is called “Silicon Valley”, which extends along Wadi al-Joz road, threatening to seize 2,000 dunams and demolish 200 industrial facilities in Wadi al-Joz. The second one threatens to seize 109 dunums in an area crowded with the Palestinians of Al-Quds in a valley near the towns of Al-Issawiya, Anata, and Ras Shehadeh, east of Al-Quds.

The report stated that last week, the occupation forces blew up the homes of two Palestinian martyrs in the town of Sur Baher, in addition to demolishing homes and agricultural facilities, bulldozing donums of lands and uprooting olive trees.
