Doha, (ST) – The Syrian swimming team on Monday rose its medal tally to 12 in the Arab Championship held in Qatar after winning a bronze medal in the open water relay race. The Syrian swimmers, who won this medal are: “Kenan Al-Gharib, Inana Suleiman, Alma Hamad, and Osama Trabelsi.
This bronze medal came after the team had won 11 other medals in various races during the past five days.
The scores came as follows: Osama Trabelsi won a gold in the 5 km race, bronze in the 200 meter breaststroke race, silver in the 1500 meter freestyle race, bronze in the 200 meter medley race, and silver in the 400 meter freestyle race.
Leen Ayyash won silver in the 200-meter breaststroke, silver in the 100-meter breaststroke, gold in the 50-meter breaststroke, while Ammar Al-Masry won silver in the 50-meter backstroke, Kenan Al-Gharib won bronze in the 800-meter freestyle, and Laith Lakmoush won silver in the 5-kilometer race.
