Lives of 800,000 Palestinians in Gaza at risk due to the occupation’s starvation policy: Gaza Media Office

The Gaza Media Office has warned that the lives of 800,000 Palestinians in Gaza city and its north are at risk due to the starvation policy adopted by the Israeli occupation since the beginning of its aggression on Gaza Strip October 7th.

In a statement on Saturday, the office warned of the Israeli occupation’s attempt to create famine in Gaza and its north, as it continues to prevent humanitarian aid as well as food supplies from entering Gaza and its north, keeps shooting at the trucks that try to reach these areas, targets drinking water pipelines and affects all walks of live.

The office pointed out that the occupation’s policy of starvation and thirst means that the lives of more than 800,000 Palestinians in Gaza and its north are at risk within the framework a war of genocide and forcible displacement campaigns in blatant violation of the international and the International Humanitarian law and all international agreements.

The office clarified that the people in northern Gaza need 600 trucks of aid and food daily and that Gaza City and its surroundings need 700 trucks daily to ensure that a real famine does not occur, holding the international community, especially the United States, fully responsible for the disastrous results of the policy of starvation and thirst perpetuated by the occupation, and calling for immediately stopping the Israeli war on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
