Damascus (ST) – Zawaya Gallery in Damascus has hosted an exhibition for “Ugarit Women Artists” group, showcasing the works of six female artists; three photographers and three sculptors.
The exhibition presented 25 works of art, including paintings, sculptures and photographs, in various styles, techniques, and themes that harmonize with each other with special focus on women.
Visual artist Line Deeb, Vice President of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, who participated with seven oil paintings of small, medium and large sizes, noted that this exhibition is the 6th of the Ugarit Women Artists Group.
She stressed that her paintings embody the symbols of ancient Syrian civilization in a special expressive way, dedicating four of them to solidarity with women in Gaza.
With different materials and various sizes, the sculptor Yusra Muhammad presented six works that embody expressive human feminine states and portraits of the calm, kind and generous human being.
She indicated that Ugarit Women artists have been working for years and have achieved a distinctive artistic harmony between each other while attracting a large number of interested people.
