On Thursday, The Iraqi minister of culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani and the Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad Sattam Jad’aan Al Dandah, discussed ways to improve bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism and antiquities.
The Iraqi Ministry said in a statement reported by SANA: Al-Badrani confirmed the importance of consolidating the relations between the two countries at various cultural, tourism and archeological levels, in addition to the economic and commercial side. He pointed out that one of the priorities of the Iraqi government program is openness to the Arab world and strengthening the bonds of Arab brotherhood.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Dandah confirmed in a special statement to SANA reporter that the two sides stressed their keenness to strengthen the bonds of fraternal relations between the two brotherly peoples and develop their joint programs in the cultural, tourism and archaeological fields.
The Syrian ambassador stated that during the meeting they discussed the work of the Joint Syrian-Iraqi Committee in the field of tourism and the necessity of forming joint committees to advance its programs, in addition to developing special programs for tourism, cultural, medical, and religious groups, businessmen and conferences.
