The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that 4,296 students were martyred and 8,059 were injured, in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, since the Israeli occupation began its aggression against the Strip on October 7th.
The Ministry explained in a statement today, reported by Wafa Palestinian News Agency, that the number of students who were martyred in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the aggression, reached 4,257 martyrs, while the number of those wounded reached 7,777.
Also, 39 students were martyred, 282 were injured, and 85 were arrested in the West Bank.
The Ministry stated that 227 teachers and administrators were martyred, 756 were injured in the Gaza Strip, while 5 were injured, and more than 71 were detained in the West Bank.
The Ministry pointed out that 346 schools, including 65 belonging to UNRWA, were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, 7 of which were completely destroyed and 83 were severely damaged.
38 schools in the West Bank were stormed and vandalized.
The Ministry indicated that the occupation’s bombing affected 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s schools, and that 29 percent of them could not be operated, due to being completely demolished or severely damaged.
While 133 schools were used as shelter centers in the Gaza Strip.
