Wang Yi: China will continue to work for security and stability in the Middle East

Beijing , (ST) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that his country will continue to work to achieve security and stability in the Middle East, and contribute more to maintaining peace in this region.

RIA Novosti quoted the Chinese Foreign Minister as saying during a symposium on Chinese diplomatic work for the year 2023: The fate of the Middle East is once again in the hands of the peoples of the countries of the region, and consultation and reconciliation are a great victory for dialogue and peace.

He pointed out that China has always been an active and reliable mediator, and Beijing has never relied on military force, never pursued geopolitical interests, or imposed its position on others.

Wang Yi added: China always supports the peoples of the Middle East in resolving differences through dialogue. He stressed that his country will continue to defend security and stability in the Middle East and cooperate with the goal of development and prosperity and contribute more to achieving reconciliation and peace in the region.
