Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The crime of settlement in the West Bank is the other side of the crime of genocide in Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the Israeli occupation continues its settlement and genocidal war with the aim of obliterating the Palestinian cause, stressing that the crime of settlement in the West Bank is the other side of the crime of genocide and destruction in the Gaza Strip .

In a statement reported by Wafa Agency on Monday , the Ministry condemned the occupation’s announcement of two settlement plans in the occupied city of Jerusalem, one in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood and the second in a valley near Al-Issawiya, Anata, and Ras Shehadeh, east of the city, noting that the settlement plans threaten to seize hundreds of dunams of land and displace thousands of Jerusalemites.

The statement indicated that the occupation’s settlement plans in Jerusalem ( Al-Quds)  and the rest of the West Bank fall within the framework of the widespread crime of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian presence, and the deepening of land seizures to implement colonial annexation plans, which leads to eliminating any chance of establishing a Palestinian state.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the international failure to implement Security Council Resolution No. 2334, which confirms that settlements are illegal and calls for its cessation and other resolutions related to the Palestinian issue , encourages the occupation  to deepen settlements and continue its crimes against the Palestinian people.
