The Damascus Chamber of Commerce, discusses ways to enhance trade relations , with the Brazilian ambassador

The President and members of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, discussed with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil to Syria, Andre dos Santos, ways to enhance trade relations between the two countries.

The two sides discussed at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, the difficulties and obstacles facing trade exchange.In order to work on overcoming them, they decided on forming a Syrian delegation that would   visit Brazil.The delegation will be meeting with  the Brazilian chambers of commerce to enhance better communication , as well as reactivating the agreements signed between the two countries.

The head of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Abu Al-Huda Al-Laham, stressed the necessity of utilizing the historical relations that bring together the two peoples , in order to activate trade exchange, return it to what it was in 2010 and to also develop it through import and export processes.

For his part, the Secretary of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, Wassim Al-Qattan, pointed out the necessity of permanent cooperation between the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the San Paolo Chamber of Commerce, in the hopes of solving the difficulties facing a number of merchants, especially in coffee importing.

Al Qattan said  that the Damascus Chamber of Commerce will form a delegation to visit Brazil , as a means to discuss concluding an agreement with the San Paolo Chamber of Commerce ,so as to find the appropriate mechanism, to organize the exchange of data related to trade exchange ,between the two countries. This would also   rebuild confidence by solving problems and obstacles that may hinder import and export operations.

For his part, the Brazilian ambassador stressed the importance of Syrian trade delegations visiting Brazil, learning about the available products and capabilities, finding solutions to develop trade relations, reaching a better level of import and export operations, establishing trade channels to avoid any problems, and finally developing work at all levels.
