President Al-Assad issues decree on establishing the General Company for Manufacturing and Marketing Cement and Building Materials

President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday issued Legislative Decree No. 3 for 2024, which provides for establishing the General Company for Manufacturing and Marketing Cement and Building Materials (Omran).

The new company replaces the General Organization for Cement and Building Materials and its affiliated companies.  The new company will enjoy legal personality as well as financial and administrative independence.

The new step comes to merge between the marketing and productive sides of cement within one company in a way that guarantees greater work flexibility and strengthens the state capabilities in sector of cement.
