Palestinian Presidency: The occupation is practicing silent land annexation in the West Bank while escalating the war on Gaza

The presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh has stressed that the Palestinian people, not the Israeli occupation or any other foreign party, are entitled to decide the future of their land in Gaza and the West Bank, including Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

In a statement on Saturday Abu Rudeineh warned of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and of the intensification of squatter settlements in the occupied West Bank.

He stressed that while the occupation is escalating its all-out war on the Palestinian people and committing genocide crimes in Gaza Strip, it is at the same time practicing silent land annexation in the West Bank by increasing the number of random settlements and the forced displacement of the Palestinians, especially in the Jordan Valley areas.

This policy, which violates all international legitimacy resolutions, most notably UN Resolution No. 2334, will not impose a fait accompli on the Palestinian people; because they are the decision-makers and the makers of their future, Abu Rudeineh affirmed, according to WAFA News Agency.

He called on the US administration to immediately intervene and oblige the occupation authorities to stop their aggression against the Palestinian people and stop settlement expansion in all its forms because its continuation means dragging the region into an uncontrollably grave situation.
