Solidarity stand held in Al-Yarmouk Camp in support for the Palestinian people and resistance

The Free Palestine Movement on Saturday held a solidarity stand in Mukhayyam Al-Yarmouk (Yarmouk Camp) in Damascus in support for the Palestinian people and resistance and in condemnation of the massacres being committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

A number of leaders and representatives of Palestinian factions, officers of the Palestine Liberation Army, as well as civil, social, cultural and religious personalities took part in the stand.

The participants lifted the Syrian and Palestinian flags as well as banners hailing the Palestinians resistance and the steadfastness of the people in Gaza Strip in the face of the Israeli ongoing criminal aggression.

Artistic shows and national songs were performed during the stand to affirm solidarity with the people in Gaza and to stress that the struggle against the occupation will continue until the occupation comes to an end and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are restored.

Secretary General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front Khaled Abdel Majeed explained in a speech that the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip has exposed to world public opinion the truth of the Zionist entity and its hatred and crimes against the Palestinian people. He pointed out that the occupation seeks to achieve, through politics, the gains that it was unable to achieve through aggression, calling for strongly confronting this Israeli plan.

Abdel Majeed reiterated the depth of national and historical links between Syria and Palestine, noting the great sacrifices that Syria has offered in defense of the Palestinian cause.
