Arab Parliament calls for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid

Cairo (ST) – The Arab Parliament called for an immediate end to the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the besieged Strip.

During a special session held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo under the title “Supporting Palestine and Gaza”, the Parliament stressed the importance of working by all means to reach a ceasefire and stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing operations practiced by the Israeli occupation forces, calling for implementing the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The Parliament renewed its rejection of the plans to displace the Palestinians. It condemned all the countries that support the occupation, mainly the US, calling for working with friendly parliaments to freeze the membership of the occupation from international organizations.

The Arab Parliament recommended withdrawing the ambassadors to the countries that have diplomatic relations with the Israeli occupation entity.

“We reaffirmed Syria’s firm position in support of the Palestinian people,” Member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, member of the Arab Parliament Sheikh Jaber al-Kharfan said in a statement to the SANA correspondent in Cairo, noting that the Palestinian resistance has proved its ability and steadfastness in the face of the Israeli enemy. He pointed out that the United States is a partner in the aggression against the Palestinian people.

The Syrian MP and member of the Arab Parliament Wahid Al-Zaal called for an immediate end to the brutal Zionist aggression and for working to address the effects of the disaster that claimed the lives of children, elderly and women.

The session of the Arab Parliament was attended by delegates, ambassadors and representatives of Arab countries.
