Al-Mikdad, Abdollahian stress the need to mobilize international solidarity to stop the Israeli aggression on defenseless Palestinian people

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and his Iranian counterpart Husein Amir Abdollahian on Saturday discussed developments in the region in the light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip in addition to the Syrian-Iranian relations and the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest.

During their meeting on the sidelines of the High Level International Consultative Conference in Palestine, the two ministers affirmed the need to mobilize international solidarity with the aim of stopping the Zionist aggression on the defenseless Palestinian people.

Al-Mikdad hailed Iran’s initiative on holding this conference in solidarity with Palestine to send a strong message of support for the Palestinian people.

For his part, Abdollahian stressed that the Palestinian cause is a central cause, reiterating the importance of cooperation and coordination between Syria and Iran on all issues.
