Al-Zoubi: We are In Geneva to Launch a Realistic Political Action
GENEVA,(ST)_ Information Minister , who is also Vice-President of the Syrian official delegation to the Geneva Conference 2, Omran al-Zoubi said that the delegation is in Geneva to launch a realistic political action of concern to the Syrian affair and not to allow others to intervene , pointing out that the delegation is expected from the other team something like that .
” We are open to all discussions within the directions of the Syrian policy especially with regard to a statement of Geneva 1 and Syria ‘s declared reservations ,” al-Zoubi said ,” noting that “it is not permissible for the other party to be surprised by this position which was announced immediately and conveyed to the UN and major states on the reservations to Geneva 1st the statement . “
Al-Zoubi indicated that the UN envoy to Syria , Lakhdar Brahimi, spoke yesterday about the ” half-step to complete the step ” concerning the logistical preparations for today , but ” the other delegation has a structural problem or internal blurred integrated political opinion, ” adding that the coalition delegation of the so called ” opposition ” wasted time, and thereby violated the determinants contained in the UN letter of invitation.
Miqdad : We will build on the humble beginnings
Meantime, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad stressed that the Syrian leadership believes in the Syrian people to that getting it out of the disaster imposed by the old- new colonial circles on Syria is the core mission .
Miqdad told reporters today that the Syrian official delegation came to Geneva with a strong will and under the guidance and instruction of President Bashar al- Assad for the success of this conference .
” We hope to start today . Beginnings are usually modest in the political action, but we are optimistic and we will build on these humble beginnings because we want to get the Syrian people out of the disaster resulting from terrorist acts , especially as many countries including Turkey , Saudi Arabia, France, Britain and the US are arming and funding terrorists in Syria and sending them to kill our children and destroy our schools and hospitals .” Miqdad stressed.
On the Syrian delegation meeting with of Russian and American delegations , Miqdad pointed out that bilateral meetings are taking place but ” I assure you that the Syrian delegation did not meet with the U.S. delegation at all .”
He stressed that the will of people will eventually succeed by the end on this terrorism and murder , which has no sense.
