Syria confirms that Washington’s annual report on terrorism is a failed attempt to cover up American terrorism
Syria stressed that the so-called” annual report on terrorism ” issued by the US Department of state has no credibility, and is only an unsuccessful attempt to cover up American terrorism represented by illegal unilateral coercive measures, and American political and military terrorism represented by the sponsorship of US administrations of terrorist entities and militias.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today: “while the Syrian people continue to suffer from the consequences of terrorism supported by the United States of America and its allies, the US State Department issued the so-called “annual report on terrorism”, which included a huge number of lies and fallacies targeting a number of countries, including Syria.
The ministry added: “Syria confirms that successive American administrations have made the terrorism industry a tool to serve their political and military plans and goals in the region and the world since the seventies of the last century, and not only that, but also used the slogans of Combating Terrorism, Democracy and Human Rights to divide the world into axes, promote allegations, and adopt extremely hostile policies aimed at isolating countries and peoples and compromising their national choices through pressure and blackmail”.
The ministry explained that for more than ten years, the US administration has sponsored the terrorist war on Syria, financed and armed terrorist organizations and entities in Syria listed on the relevant Security Council list, foremost of which are the “ISIS” and ”al-Nusra Front” organizations and terrorist groups associated with them. It also supported the terrorist separatist militias and colluded with them in stealing oil, wheat and other Syrian strategic resources, looting antiquities and historical sites, and even trafficking detainees from the families and children of foreign terrorists located in camps controlled by the American occupation forces and their agents in the “SDF” militias. These are documented crimes that the US State Department report sought to cover up by fabricating accusations against other countries that chose to uphold their sovereignty and free national decisions away from conditionalities and dictates.
The ministry pointed out that Syria adheres to its firm position, which it has launched since 1986, calling for a clear and specific definition of terrorism, and to avoid any American – Israeli attempts to confuse this Condemned Criminal Act with the inalienable right of peoples to resist foreign occupation, seek independence, liberation and self-determination, which are the principles adopted by the United Nations and confirmed in many of its documents and decisions.
The ministry stressed that the blatant support of the United States of America for Israeli terrorism, which has been brutally manifested over the past days, is a clear example of the hypocrisy of the American administrations and its other Zionist institutions.
