The Cuban Parliament renews its support for the just cause of the Palestinian people and condemns the crimes of the Israeli occupation

The Cuban Parliament unanimously approved a declaration of support for the just cause of the Palestinian people, and condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli occupation entity against them.

During the parliament meeting in its 10th legislative session, in the presence of President Miguel Díaz and former President Raul Castro, the representatives ratified a statement in which they expressed their denunciation of the genocide  against the Palestinian people, and the failure of the current international system to prevent stopping the Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people.

The statement stressed that the current situation in occupied Palestine is the result of 75 years of Israeli practices of occupation and colonialism. The statement reiterated its rejection and condemnation of the attacks carried out by the occupation against hospitals, schools, refugee camps, United Nations centers and other civilian infrastructure, in addition to depriving the Gaza Strip of water, food and electricity and preventing the arrival of humanitarian aid.

Cuban parliamentarians condemned the deliberate killing of dozens of press workers. They warned that all these acts constitute serious violations of international humanitarian law and international law, and constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.

In their declaration, the Cuban representatives criticized the government policy of the United States and its complicity in this genocide by obstructing the work of the Security Council and using the veto to protect the crimes of the occupation. They stressed that the impunity that historically Israel has been known for can only be explained by its confidence that there will be no consequences for its crimes due to the support of the United States.

The parliamentarians urgently called for an end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and to reach a comprehensive, just and lasting solution that allows the Palestinian people the right to self-determination and to have an independent, sovereign state with East Al Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
