Democratic Korean President: Our armed forces will resolutely defend the country’s sovereignty against any attack

DPRK President Kim Jong Un stressed that the armed forces will defend the country’s sovereignty firmly and without any hesitation in confronting any external attacks.

“The recent military training on launching a ballistic missile is  evidence of the determination of the DPRK Armed Forces to defend the country’s sovereignty without hesitation, including launching a nuclear attack if the enemy uses nuclear weapons in any attack against us” The DPRK News Agency quoted Jong Un as saying during a meeting with the Army’s Missile Authority

Jong Un congratulated the missile force personnel on the success of the launch test and achieving its goal, stressing that the sovereign rights of any country cannot be guaranteed except through force.

He pointed out that the recent test proved the army’s high ability to move and attack quickly, calling for exerting efforts to enhance the effectiveness of combat missiles.

The Democratic Korean Army successfully tested on Tuesday the launch of a solid-fueled Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile, which flew a distance of 1,002 kilometers and hit the precisely designated target in the open waters off the East Sea of Korea.
