11th round of the General Council of Trade Unions Federation kicks off in Damascus

Prime Minister Hussein Arnous has stressed that one of the priorities of government work is to provide all forms of support to the agricultural and industrial sectors, expand agricultural industrialization projects, support small projects, and increase production, pointing to the importance of investing in industrial areas and cities due to the availability of all infrastructure there, such as water, electricity, and other services.

He made the remarks during the 11th round of General Council of Trade Unions Federation, which began on Wednesday at the Federation’s building in Damascus.

Discussions focused on a number of workers’ demands, and emphasized the necessity of joint work between ministries, public institutions, unions and workers’ representatives, with the aim of finding solutions to the issues and difficulties facing the production and investment process and the industrial public sector.
