Algeria will resume its flights to Syria tomorrow after more than ten years of stoppage. The first flight is due to arrive at noon tomorrow at Latakia International Airport.
The Ministry of Transport said in a statement on Wednesday that it highly appreciates this step and looks forward to providing all the necessary facilitations and procedures to serve these flights and provide everything that contributes to the continuity of the operation and the increase of the flights in future.
The Ministry clarified that based on this decision, the Syrian General Organization for Civil Aviation granted permissions to “Air Algerie” to use civil airports, and will provide the required facilitations to receive the flights within the framework of the air transport agreement signed between the two countries.
The Ministry affirmed that it is ready for cooperation and coordination to enhance this important step, which reflects the strength of the fraternal ties between the two countries, and which encourages the two sides to strengthen joint work in several domains for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
