Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces are committing field executions against Palestinians during raids on their homes in Gaza Strip. It stressed the need for the international community to take action to stop the occupation’s ongoing aggression against the Strip for 75 days.
The Monitor on Wednesday said in a statement that it received shocking testimonies about yesterday evening; the occupation forces raided a house inhabited by 4 Palestinian families in the center of Gaza City and shot directly at the youths and men inside the house, which led to the death of 15 of them and the serious injury of others.
The occupation forces also gathered women and children in one of the rooms then they threw a number of missiles at them, which led to injuries among them, and it detained an elderly man from the house, whose fate is still unknown.
The Monitor indicated that a number of injured women, including about 50 women and children, were besieged by the occupation forces at home, including cases suffering from serious wounds.
The Monitor appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to coordinate their transfer from the place to save their lives, without receiving any response.
The Monitor quoted Iman Al-Ashi from inside the besieged house as saying: “I was displaced with a number of my family members to a house in Al-Awda building in Gaza City, and the occupation forces raided the building yesterday evening, detained more than 15 young men, forced them to take off their clothes and executed them in front of us, including my husband, my father and my brothers, then they detained us, women and children, in a room and fired shells at us”.
She added: We currently number 50 women and children, and the occupation forces are besieging the building. I was injured, along with a 9-month-old baby girl, and my 6-year-old child was also injured. My brother, my mother, my sister, and her daughters were injured, and my cousin and his wife had their hands amputated, and we have an injured child suffering from a broken pelvis.
The Monitor confirmed that it had received repeated testimonies of atrocities committed by the occupation forces in the areas they penetrate, including physical liquidations and field executions. It indicated that the testimonies reveal that the occupation forces raid homes after blowing up their doors, then fire heavy bullets inside them to kill those inside them, and also abuse women and children.
The Monitor also said that the occupation forces stationed in military vehicles or high-rise buildings are continuing sniper operations against Palestinians, whether inside their homes or while they are trying to move in their residential areas.
It indicated that it has documented that they have carried out killing operations that affected dozens of Gaza residents in the streets and homes, by sniper bullets or by targeting with artillery shells. The bodies of the martyrs are still dumped in the streets, and days pass without anyone being able to approach them and retrieve them.
The Monitor pointed out that killings and field executions are one of the horrific violations practiced by the occupation forces in Gaza Strip, which include looting, intimidation, arbitrary arrest, torture and widespread destruction. It called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to assume its responsibilities and respond to the calls it receives to evacuate the wounded and victims from the areas which the occupation forces attacked.
The Monitor stressed the need to open an urgent international investigation into the horrific crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza Strip. It stressed that stopping the aggression is the basic requirement that the international community must move to achieve in order to save as many people as possible from the crime of genocide that targets 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza Strip in front of the entire world and amidst a state of silence and helplessness that will remain a disgrace to humanity.
