Palestinians in the West Bank rally in solidarity with the Palestinian detainees in occupation jails and in denunciation of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip
Hundreds of Palestinians in the West Bank on Wednesday participated in stands in support for the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation detention centers and in denunciation of the continued genocidal war against Gaza Strip for the 74th day.
Wafa Agency reported that participants in the stands, which were organized by the Palestinian national forces in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the cities of Al-Bireh, Jenin and Tulkarm, raised pictures of martyrs and banners denouncing the occupation’s crimes against prisoners, especially solitary confinement and the policy of deliberate medical neglect, which have been escalating since the start of the aggression on October the 7th.
Director of the Office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club in Tulkarm Ibrahim Al-Nimr pointed out that the genocide, daily massacres, and forced displacement to which the people of the Gaza Strip are being subjected violate international humanitarian law and constitute a disgrace to humanity against the entire Palestinian people, which requires the international community to stop it immediately and work to bring aid into Gaza.
For his part, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Wasel Abu Youssef pointed out that prisoners are daily exposed to brutal violations and attacks by the occupation, which has escalated its crimes since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza, leading to the martyrdom of a number of Palestinians and the detention of more than 4,600 in the West Bank.
He called for providing international protection for prisoners and holding the occupation authorities accountable for all their crimes.
