Syria ranks first in the 9th Arab Olympiad for Chemistry in Iraq

The team of Syrian Science Olympiad in Chemistry has achieved advanced positions in the 9th Arab Olympiad for Chemistry 2023 which was organized by Iraq between December 13 and 14 with the participation of 8 Arab countries including Syria, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Jordan.

According to the Distinction and Creativity Agency, the student Salama Omran ranked first, while the student Alaa Azan came second. The fourth and sixth positions went to the Syrian students Zeinab Fares and Zeinab Hasan respectively.

The agency clarified that the contestants have undergone a 2-hour test in Arabic, English and Chemistry and the results were announced during a ceremony that came in conjunction with the Iraqi Student Day.

The participation of the team in this Olympiad stems from the desire to excel and keep pace with international and global Olympiads to upgrade the level of participation and experience new challenges.
