A citizen was martyred when a landmine, left behind by ISIS terrorists, went off in the village of Al-Mariyah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Director of the General Authority of Al-Assad Hospital Mamoun Haiza told a SANA reporter that a 15-year-old citizen arrived at the hospital in a critical condition as a result of severe injuries to the chest and abdomen that led to his death after a short period.
Before their defeat, terrorist organizations planted mines and IEDs in areas where they were deployed, as well as between homes, roads and agricultural lands, with the intention of causing the greatest possible damage to civilians who had returned to their areas liberated from terrorism, or to frighten the citizens and prevent them from returning.
