Putin: The situation in Gaza is catastrophic…a Palestinian state must be established

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the situation in Gaza Strip represents a humanitarian catastrophe and humanitarian aid must be delivered, while pointing out that a Palestinian state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital must be established to resolve the conflict in the region.
The “RT” website quoted Putin as saying in his annual press conference, where he presents the results of the year 2023, and answers questions by journalists, as well as Russian citizens about local and global situations: “It is necessary to find solid foundations for settling the conflict in the Middle East, in a way that ensures the implementation of the United Nations resolutions to establish a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital,” pointing out that some countries are obstructing the implementation of these resolutions and impeding a comprehensive and final solution.
Putin stressed the need to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip, explaining that Russia discussed the possibility of establishing a field hospital in Gaza, but the Israeli side rejected that.
Regarding the special Russian military operation in Ukraine, Putin stressed that peace will be achieved when we reach our unchanged goals, which are the eradication of Nazism in Ukraine and the disarmament of the Ukrainian state so as to become neutral.
