The Minister of oil discusses with his counterparts in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon  ways to develop relations

The Minister Oil and Mineral Resources, Dr. Firas Qaddour, discussed with the Ministers of Petroleum, Energy and Mineral Resources of Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the various fields of oil and gas, on the sidelines of the 12th Energy Conference in Doha.

During the meeting, the importance of strengthening relations and exchanging experience in the oil and gas sector was stressed, as it is one of the vital sectors of the economy and development. The meeting also stressed the ways to enhance cooperation in the technical and technological fields in the field of oil and gas extraction and refining.

The ministers discussed the possibility of activating the Arab gas pipeline between Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in a way that achieves the interests of these countries.  Minister Kaddour confirmed that the pipeline inside Syrian territory is ready to transport gas after maintenance operations were carried out on it.
