Nebenzya renews his country’s call to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, once again called for the need to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, warning of the continuation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict if an independent, sovereign Palestinian state is not established.

Nebenzya stated that: “We are striving to achieve and stabilize the ceasefire to prevent further suffering endured by the Palestinians in Gaza who have become victims and hostages of this situation”.

On Monday, a delegation including representatives of member states of the UN Security Council arrived at Al-Arish International Airport in Egypt in preparation for inspecting and visiting the centers that received humanitarian aid provided to the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression for the 66th day.

More than ten ambassadors from countries are participating in the visit, including Russia, which voted last Friday in favor of a draft resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Strip and the entry of humanitarian aid into it. Meanwhile, the representative of the United States, which used its veto against the draft resolution and prevented the Council from adopting it, was absent, as was the representative of France.
