Syrian Arab Army Carries Out Qualitative Operations in Aleppo and Daraa—Demonstration Against Terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Clashes, demonstrations and mortar attacks have taken place outside Damascus province amid reports of eliminating several terrorist groups in the same province [Damascus countryside] and in Daraa and Homs provinces.

In details, units of the armed forces clashed on Wednesday with armed terrorist groups in Harsta area and Darayya city outside Damascus where many of the terrorist groups’ members were killed and injured, according to the Syrian TV. Channel.

More deaths were recorded among the foreign-backed terrorists, some belong to the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’ and the ‘Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant,’ in areas of Adra, Jobar, and Madaya, al-Eb farms (in Duma) and al-Qalamon area when the army units targeted terrorist groupings there.

Demonstration

Meanwhile, the official news agency said that Duma city’s locals demonstrated against the armed terrorist groups and ransacked the headquarters of the so-called ‘Legislative Commission’.

The demonstrators restored a big quantity of food which had been stolen by the terrorists, according to the agency which noted that the terrorists opened fire to disperse the demonstrators.

4 Shells hit Saidnaya

In another area, Saidnaya city outside Damascus, a mortar attack happened when terrorists fired shells on the city causing material damages.

“Four shells hit al-Gharb quarter, al-Qerneh area and surrounding of Transfiguration Monastery in the city,” a police command source said, confirming that no one was hurt.

Over the past three days, the terrorists launched several shells on the city while the army units killed many armed terrorist groups- that tried to attack Cherubim monastery- and confiscated weapons including Israeli-made rockets.

Qualitative operations

Relative to today-developments, it was said that the army units conducted qualitative operation against terrorist groupings in Bosra la-Sham and crushed many terrorists in Othman town in Daraa countryside and in the southern of al-Qusair countryside in central Homs province.

Ringleader of the so-called ‘Soqor Horan’ battalion was among the dead,  Bosra all-Sham, a military source said.

Another qualitative operation was carried out by the army units in Maaret al-Artiq outside Aleppo province where two weapons-laden trucks were destroyed.  

 The army units, in addition, opened the Aleppo International Airport to the civilian planes, according to the alIkhbaria al-Soreyeh TV channel.

Syria is fighting terrorism which has been exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, media reports say.
