Russia distributes food aid in the city of Hasakah

Hasakah, (ST) – The Russian forces deployed in Hasakah on Saturday provided food aid to a number of families in the city of Hasakah and its surrounding areas, under the supervision of the relief sub-committee in the governorate.

Hassan Al-Shamhoud, Hasakah Deputy Governor said to SANA reporter that the aid distributed today expresses Russia’s constant support for the Syrian people and its support to needy families, especially in light of the current circumstances that the country is experiencing.

“These circumstances are caused by the unjust siege imposed on Syria and the presence of the American and Turkish occupation forces, which negatively affects the families and increases their suffering”, he added.

For his part, Kheder Al-Asyoud, member of the Executive Bureauof the Social Affairs Sector indicated that the distribution operations included 700 families, where special tables were prepared with the names of the beneficiary families, and each basket includes food items that include sugar, rice, flour, tea, and canned goods.
