Former Czech diplomat: Wrong European policy towards Syria constitutes support for terrorist organizations

Prague, (ST) – The former Czech ambassador to Damascus, Eva Filippi criticized the European Union’s continued wrong policy towards Syria. She stressed that part of this policy supports terrorist organizations present in Syrian territories.

Filippi said in an interview with the Czech magazine Ekho: Working with a rational policy towards Syria requires Europe to understand the situation as it really is, which has not been done yet, as this policy has remained the same for 12 years.

The former Czech ambassador to Damascus said that she learned during her work in Syria not to trust anything that she did not see personally. She referred to the lies spread by the Western media and its politicians about the situation in Syria.

Filippi pointed out that most Western media outlet, in their coverage of Syria, worked to implement a pre-prepared and false political agenda.

She stressed that Western policy towards Syria represented practical support for the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization and its tools, and also contributed to the destruction of Syria and its stability.

Filippi said: “The characteristics and morals of the Syrian people are very beautiful.

“The Syrian people have been generous, kind and loving throughout history, not only towards some of them but towards Arabs and foreigners as well”, sha added.
