Dozens of Palestinians were martyred and injured on Thursday as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression for the 62nd day against the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air.
Wafa Agency reported that during the past hours, the occupation aircraft bombed a mosque in Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, resulting in at least 12 deaths and dozens of injuries, in addition to the destruction of a number of neighboring homes.
It also bombed homes in the Old City of Gaza, the Al-Rimal neighborhood to the west, and the Olive neighborhoods. Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Sabra to the east, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded and the destruction of residential buildings, while ambulances were unable to reach the targeted areas due to the intensity of the bombing.
The occupation bombed, with air and artillery, neighborhoods and homes in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip, Deir al-Balah and the Maghazi and Nuseirat camps in its center, and Rafah and Khan Yunis in its south, causing the death and injury of dozens, while the occupation gunboats fired a barrage of shells on the coast of the Gaza Strip.
The displaced people in the Gaza Strip, especially in Khan Yunis, live in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions due to the continuous bombing, the destruction of infrastructure and roads, the lack of food, water and medicine, and the depletion of fuel.
Regarding the catastrophic conditions that the health sector in the Gaza Strip is suffering from, the Palestinian Red Crescent explained that this sector is completely collapsed, and needs to be supported by cadres from outside the Gaza Strip, and that 60 percent of the wounded need to be removed from the Gaza Strip to receive treatment immediately.
It stressed that there is an urgent need to bring in fuel to ensure that the remaining hospitals remain in service and for ambulance crews to be able to move, and warning that the sector is on the cusp of a serious health and environmental catastrophe.
Al-Hilal pointed out that the occupation’s attacks on the health sector resulted in the martyrdom of 280 of its cadres, while the invading occupation forces arrested paramedics and doctors, including the director of the Khan Yunis Center, and a number of patients and wounded, and abused them.
