Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Palestinian presidency warned against the escalation of the Israeli occupation’s comprehensive aggression against the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
The presidency called for urgent international intervention to stop the aggression.
Wafa News Agency reported that Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said in a statement on Wednesday that while the occupation is committing daily massacres against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces and terrorist colonists continue their daily crimes in the occupied West Bank, represented by continuous raids on cities, towns and camps, and field executions.
Abu Rudeina stressed that the occupation is practicing organized terrorism against the Palestinian people. He called on the UN Security Council to intervene urgently to stop this comprehensive aggression and stop the shedding of Palestinian blood in the light of unprecedented international silence.
Abu Rudeina held the American administration responsible for this escalation. He called on it to pressure the occupation to stop its aggression and war against the Palestinian people. He stressed that the only solution is to end the occupation and recognize the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence in accordance with international legitimacy and international law.
Mansour: The international community cannot allow the occupation to continue violating international law
In New York, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour stressed that the international community must not allow the Israeli occupation to continue violating international law.
He stressed the need to take serious measures bt the Security Council, the General Assembly and all countries to stop these violations, including the arms embargo in response to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the occupation.
Wafa News Agency reported that Mansour clarified in three letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the General Assembly, the humanitarian catastrophe that “Israel,” the occupying power is deliberately inflicting on the Palestinians in Gaza Strip, and in the light of the silence of the international community.
Mansour pointed out that more than 16,000 Palestinians were martyred in Gaza Strip, most of them children and women, and more than 43,000 were injured. He pointed out that more than 7,500 are still missing under the rubble of homes, hospitals, and United Nations shelters that were bombed by the occupation.
Mansour stated that the occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip caused the displacement of 80 percent of the people of Gaza Strip, who moved from the north to the south as the occupation continued to pressure them to displace them with the aim of gathering them in smaller areas that lack any infrastructure, including shelters and basic humanitarian necessities.
Mansour wondered how the international community could remain silent and unable in the face of this ethnic cleansing and forced displacement, stressing the fact that there is no safe place in Gaza, as the occupation bombs both the north and the south.
Mansour renewed his call on the international community, mainly the Security Council, to work to ensure an immediate ceasefire, provide international protection for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, end the siege of Gaza, and provide urgent, adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering.
